ZEITLIN, SOLOMON

(1892-1977)
American scholar of Russian origin. He emigrated to the US in 1915 and taught at Yeshiva College. In 1921 he became professor of rabbinics at Dropsie College. He wrote studies on rabbinics,Josephus, the Apocrypha, Christianity and the Dead Sea Scrolls. He also served as editor of theJewish Quarterly Review.
