ZIMRA, DAVID BEN SOLOMON IBN AVI (DAVID BEN SOLOMON IBN ZIMRA; RADBAZ)

Spanish talmudist and kabbalist. He was born in Spain, and studied in Safed, Fez and Cairo, where he became chief rabbi. He later returned to Spain and served as a dayyan. He composed responsa, a commentary onMaimonides'Mishneh Torah, kabbalistic works and talmudic novellae.
