Born in Italy, he started his own business in 1983, consistently marching to the beat of his own drummer. Inspired by romanticism, Gigli incorporated rich colors and fabrics into his collections. He is also the creator of a successfulmenswearline, a young women's line, and a perfume, which received the American Fragrance Foundation Award for best packaging.
