He was accepted, precedingJohann Sebastian Bachby a century, and finished his life there. His compositions includeCymbalum Sionae(1615), a collection of 30 Latin and Germanmotets,Opella{}Nova, the first large publication of Germansacred concertoswith continuo (Part I, 1618, 31 works; Part II, 1626, 28 works),Fontana{}Israel(1623), 30madrigali spirituali, and 130choralearrangements inCantional(1627).
