POWER FOR PENSIONERS

An issue-specificpolitical partyled by Gideon Ben-Yisrael, head of the Pensioners Association, that ran in the 1999 election for the 15thKnesset. The party favored a national pension law and social welfare policy, as well as increased state funding for nursing homes. The party did not win a seat in the election.
