Film and theater director Tomasz Zygadło made award-winningdocumentary filmssuch asElementary School(Szkoła podstawowa, 1971) andMicrophone for Everybody(Mikrofon dla wszystkich, 1976). He became one of the recognizable directors during theCinema of Distrustperiod. He directed feature films such asThe Riddle(Rebus, 1977) andThe Moth(Ćma, 1980). the latter with a memorable performance byRoman Wilhelmi, and appeared as an actor in films made by his colleagues, for example inKrzysztof Kieslowski'sPersonnel(1975) andThe Scar(1976).
