VORONOFF, SERGE

(1866-1951)
French physiologist. Born in Voronege, Russia, he went to Paris in 1884 and studied at the Paris medical school. He became chief surgeon at the auxiliary hospital, Paris and later director of the biological laboratory at the ficole des Hautes Etudes. In 1917 he became director of the experimental laboratory in surgery at the College de France in Nice.
