VITERBO, CARLO ALBERTO

(1889-1974)

Italian Zionist. He was born in Florence. He became president of the Italian Zionist Organization in 1931. He was imprisoned in the Sforzacosta concentration camp during World War II and released by the Allies in 1944. After the war he relaunched the periodicalIsrael, which continued until his death.
