GERONDI, ZERACHIAH BEN ISAAC

Italian rabbinic scholar and poet. He was born in Gerona and settled in Lunel. HisSepher ha-Maoris a critical examination of the writings ofIsaac ben Jacob Alfasi. InSepher ha-Tzavahe provided an introduction to talmudic methodology. He also composed liturgical poems.
