ABRAHAMS, HAROLD MAURICE

(1899-1978)

British athlete. He studied law and became a senior civil servant. A brilliant athlete, he set a British long-jump record in 1924. At the Olympic Games in the same year he won the gold medal in the 100-yard sprint.
