Westerns in Cinema

PRODUCERS RELEASING CORPORATION

PRODUCERS RELEASING CORPORATION: translation

PRC
This company began making low-budget Westerns in 1940. Its productions were so bad that they only played in second-rate theaters. Perhaps its best series was the Texas Rangers, initially starring Dave O’Brien, Guy Wilkerson, and James Newill as the trio of lawmen. Later, Tex Ritter replaced Newill in the series. By 1947 PRC had merged into the Eagle-Lion film company.
