Born Timothy Daniel Frawley in Washington, D.C., the actor-manager playedjuvenilesin stock, then made his New York debut in the originalOld Homesteadcompany withDenman Thompsonin 1887. He performed withDanielFrohman's Lyceum stock company and inThe SenatorwithWilliam H. Crane. Eventually, he put together his own respected stock company based in San Francisco. The T. D. Frawley Stock Company toured the northwestern United States and Asia.
