KREYMBORG, ALFRED

(1883-1966).t Born in New York City, the poet-journalist also wrote one-act plays and about 40 books. He fostered poetry publications and was called a patron saint of the little magazine movement. His association with theatres include theProv-incetown Playhousefrom its inception and the Manhattan-Bronx Federal Theatre Project.* Among his collections of plays arePlays for Merry Andrews(1920),Rocking Chairs and Other Comedies(1925), andPuppet Plays(1926).
