GAZZOLO, FRANK A. P.

(1873-1959)
The Chicago-born manager, producer, andagentstarted as a program boy at J. H. Haverly's Eden Musee Theatre on Chicago's west side. He became anadvance agentforJacob Litt, traveling in advance of anIn Old Kentuckycompany. In partnership withGeorge Klimt, he produced the successfulmelodramaThe James Boys in Missouri, followed by many other melodramas sent out on theStair and Havelincircuit. Leasing Chicago's Imperial Theatre in 1910, Gaz-zolo and Klimt operated a stock company, the first of several in his career. He was also a partner in the Central StatesAmusementCompany.
