EATON, WALTER PRICHARD

(1878-1957)
Born in Malden, Massachusetts, he graduated from Harvard University in 1900 and became a reporter on theBoston Herald. As drama critic, he wrote for theNew York Tribune(1902-1907), theNew York Sun(1907-1908), andAmerican Magazine(1909-1918). From 1933, he taught play-writing at Yale University. Besides numerous books and articles on the theatre, he published widely on Boy Scouting and the outdoors.
