IWANO HOMEI

Iwano Homei was a poet and novelist from Hyogo Prefecture. He studied at Meiji Gakuin University, Sendai Theological Seminary, and Senshu University. After first making himself known in literary circles writing poetry, he began writing novels and joined Tayama Katai and Shimamura Hogetsu in establishing the school of naturalist writers.
