RA?L ALARC?N JR.

Raúl Alarcón Jr. is the president, CEO and chairman of the Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS). Alarcón Jr. became president in 1985, CEO in 1994 and chairman in 1999. He was born in 1956 in Havana and joined SBS as an account executive in 1983, the year the company was founded. Alarcón Jr.’s father was also in the Spanish-language radio broadcasting business.

SBS is a publicly traded company that owns Spanish-language radio stations providing music tailored to the growing U.S. Hispanic population in Los Angeles, New York, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Miami and San Francisco. In addition to its numerous radio stations, SBS produces live concerts and has a small television and internet presence.
