AUSTRALIAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION (ABA)

An association of banks that work on behalf of its member financial institutions to provide analysis and advice on public policy regarding banking and financial institutions. It also works within its member organization to improve the quality of service that banks and other financial institutions provide.

The association also looks to develop industry codes and standards, reform the banking payment system, improve security, improve banking conduct and disclosure, improve financial literacy and work on taxation reform.
