For many years, Lord Avebury (Eric Lubbock) has been a prominent Liberal Democrat activist inGreat Britainusing his position in the House of Lords and currently the UK Parliamentary Human Rights Group to pursue various Kurdishhuman rightscauses. He is now in ill heath and retired.
