KLENSCH, ELSA

Fashion journalist Elsa Klensch arrived in the United States in 1966. Born in Australia, she worked in Sydney, London, and Hong Kong and then atWomen's Wear Dailyin New York. In 1980, she changed the way the world viewed fashion with her CNN television show,Style with Elsa Klensch. She is noted for her ability to understand the designers' concept and its direct relationship to the clothes. The show ended in 2000 and Klensch broke with the fashion world and went on to write murder novels.
