CHERESKIN, RON

(c. 1950- )
An illustrator and painter, Chereskin is credited with introducing pastel colors for men's sweaters in the 1970s. "Disco fever" was the rage of the decade and Chereskin created casualpolyestermen'ssportswear. In 2006, the Ron Chereskin label received a total makeover. The plan revolved around unifying the Chereskinbrandinto a cohesive product line. This has resulted in alllicensedChereskin, as well as all Chereskin main floor products, to be promoted under the Studio Ron Chereskin name. Additionally, a collection label and alifestylelabel are being developed. Chere-skin is a recipient of aCouncil of Fashion Designers of America(CFDA) award formenswear.
