Cartier: translation

A world-renowned jewelry establishment begun in 1847 in Paris by Louis-François Cartier and run by three generations of the Cartier family. In 1889, Cartier moved to the Place Vendome area of Paris, which became the center of the international jewelry trade. In 1904, the company popularized the first wristwatch. Cartier designed the famous "tank" watch that became one of the most copied watches in the world.
