Cacharel is a clothing company that was founded in Paris in 1968 by Jean Bosquet, who in 2002 still maintained an 80 percent interest in the company. In 2001, the company signed the design duo Ignacio Ribiero and Suzanne Clements, ofClements Ribeiro, ascreative directorsfor the company. The company spent several years restructuring and, in 2006, announced plans to open a concept store in the Saint-Germain shopping district in Paris. It has fine-tuned its Cacharel line to be more sophisticated and will introduce its new lower price Baby Jane line. Cacharel designsaccessories,childrenswear,fragrance, home goods, andwo-menswear. The company has numerouslicensedproducts, includingintimate apparelandfootwear. In the United States, Cacharel is carried atBarneys,Neiman Marcus, andNordstromdepartment stores.
