ETRUSCAN PHILOLOGY

Specialist attention to the Etruscan language has remained a strong thread of Etruscan research. The tradition has a deep history, going back to Giulio Buonamici, Gustav Herbig, and Ambros Pfiffig and continuing to the present with de Simone, as a specialist field. It has also formed a major part of the work of many rounded Etruscologists such as Massimo Pallottino, Mauro Cristofani, and Giovanni Colonna.
