CAMPASSINI

A recently excavated late eighth-century to late seventhcentury settlement in northern Etruria, near Monteriggioni (Siena), consisting of huts, burials, other collapsed structures, and a large cavity lined with pebbles that may have served as a cistern. The faunal remains show a predominance of sheep and pig over cow and deer in the diet.
