BOLSENA LAKE (LAGO DI BOLSENA)

The northernmost of two large volcanic lakes in South Etruria, which provided a natural boundary on the border between the territories of Vulci and Orvieto and was surrounded by medium (Bisenzio) and small (Barano, Civita di Grotte di Castro) settlements.
