Composer chiefly of concert music, he wrote a few symphonic sacred pieces including: aStabat Mater(op. 58, 1877), theoratorioSvatá(St.) {}Ludmila(op. 71, 1886), aMassin D (op. 86, 1887, orchestrated 1893), aRequiem(op. 89, 1890), and aTe Deum(op. 103, 1892). Almost all were intended for concert, not liturgical performance.
