RIMUSH

(reigned C. 2284–2276 B.C.)
King of Akkad, son and successor of Sargon of Akkad. According to his own inscriptions, he had to repress widespread revolts in the Sumerian cities at the beginning of his reign. He also campaigned against Elam, from where he returned with rich booty. He stayed on the throne for just nine years and was replaced (perhaps violently) by his brother Manishtusu.
