OLD SOUTH SEA HOUSE

On the south side of Broad Street, north of the South Sea House, in Broad Street Ward (Rocque, 1746).

Former name: " Excise Office" (O. and M. 1677).

It formed the back portion of the South Sea House (q.v.).

Roman pavement found here at a depth of 6-i 3 feet.
