Born inJerusalem, he received a law degree fromHebrew University of Jerusalemin 1957. He was first elected on behalf of theGeneral Zioniststo the fourthKnessetin November 1959. He was elected to all Knessets since 1969 on behalf of theLiberal Partyfaction ofGahaland theLikudbloc, respectively, until he retired from party politics following the 1992Knesset election.
