National List: translation

A political party headed by former Israeli prime ministerDavid Ben-Gurionthat was elected to the 7thKnesset(1969). In the course of the 9thKnesset(1973), members of KnessetYigael Hurvitz, Yitzhak Peretz, andZalman Shovalleft theLikudand formed theRafi-National List parliamentary group. Toward the end of the 9th Knesset, Peretz broke away to form the single-member National List splinter faction but 12 days later he returned to the Likud. Hurwitz and Shoval joined withMoshe Dayanto formTelem(Movement for National Renewal), which won two seats in the 10th Knesset (1981). In the course of the 10th Knesset Telem split and Yi-gael Hurwitz formed a single-member parliamentary faction called Rafi-National List, which later changed its name toOmetz.
