Toward the end of the 16thKnessetin 2005, a new parliamentary group split off from theLikud. Some two months later, it changed its name toKadima. Among its members wereAriel Sharon,Meir Shitreet(Sheetrit),Ronnie Bar-On,Tzipi Livni, andEhud Olmert.
