Actress. Kopp began acting in her nativeViennaduring the 1920s and worked in several provincial theaters before becoming a regular member of the Schiller Theater company during the Third Reich underHeinrich George. She was most effective in the 1950s playing character women underHeinzHilpert's direction in Göttingen. Among the best of her portrayals were Mrs. Antrobus in Thornton Wilder'sThe Skin of Our Teeth, Lady Brito-mart in George Bernard Shaw'sMajor Barbara, Gina Ekdal in Henrik Ibsen'sThe Wild Duck, the Maid in Federico Garcia Lorca'sHouse of Bernarda Alba, and Mother Wolff inGerhart Haupt-mann'sDer Biberpelz(The Beaver Coat). She also did several films in the 1950s and television productions in the 1960s.
