TYM, STANISŁAW

(1937-)

Popular actor, scriptwriter, columnist, and stand-up comic, best known for his collaboration withStanisław Bareja. Tym scripted and acted in cult films directed by Bareja such asWhat Will You Do with Me when You Catch Me(1978) andTeddy Bear(1980). In 1992 he scripted and starred inSylwester Chęciński'scomedyabout the introduction of martial law,Controlled Conversations. He is also remembered for his role in another cult film,Marek Piwowski'sThe Cruise(1970). In 2007 Tym directed and starred inLynx(Ryś), a sequel toTeddy Bear.
