FESTIVAL OF POLISH FILMS

(Festiwal Polskich Filmów Fabularnych)

An annual festival presenting Polish feature films, an important part of the Polish film landscape. Organized for the first time in Gdańsk in 1974, the festival was moved to the neighboring town of Gdynia in 1996. The festival grants its main prize, the Golden Lion award (Złote Lwy), as well as other awards in several different categories (ranging from best direction to costumes).
