LANGENDORFF PERFUSED HEART

Classic pharmacological organ preparation in which a rodent heart is maintained in vitro by perfusion of the aorta with oxygenated fluid so that the fluid passes into the coronary arteries. Can be used to study metabolism of cardiac muscle.
