(= 1,2-bis(o-aminophenoxy) ethane tetraacetate)

Calcium chelator with low affinity for magnesium. Absorption maximum shifts when calcium is bound so it can be used as an indicator of intracellular calcium concentration (though it will chelate calcium and therefore alter the situation. See MAPTAM.
