bacterial artificial chromosome: translation

Method of construction of genomic library, in which the vector contains sites necessary for the DNA to be handled and replicated as a bacterial chromosome. Like YACs, this allows clones to contain very large pieces of DNA (around 200 kb), so aiding rapid, low resolution physical mapping.
