Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum = Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews: the text placed on the Cross on which Christ was crucified. John 19:19 ascribes the wording to Pilate: 'And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross'.
