ZWEIG, ARNOLD

Zweig, Arnold: translation

(1887-1968)
German novelist and playwright. He was born in Gross-Glogau, Silesia. He worked as a freelance writer in Bavaria and Berlin, where he edited the Zionist journalJudische Rundschau. After moving to Haifa, he co-edited the weeklyOrientin 1942-3. In 1948 he settled in East Berlin. A number of his works deal with Jewish themes.
