MARINOFF, JACOB

(1869-1964)
American Yiddish poet and editor. He was born in Russia. He moved to London, where he worked in a tailor's shop (1891-93), then emigrated to the US and settled in Denver. From 1895 he contributed poems to Yiddish periodicals. He was a co-founder of the journalDer groyser kundasin 1909 and served as its editor.
