LASKER, EDUARD

(1829-84)

German Liberal politician. He was born in Posen. He took part in the Revolution of 1848. During 1853 he went to England to study the system of British parliamentary government. He was elected to the Prussian parliament in 1865, and later led the Liberal Party in the Reichstag. He was a champion of Jewish rights.
