LAMDAN, YITZHAK

(1899-1954)
Hebrew poet. He was born in Milnov, in the Ukraine, and witnessed the Ukrainian pogroms after World War I. In 1920 he emigrated to Palestine, where he initially worked as a labourer. From 1934 he published and edited the literary monthlyGilyonot. His poemMasadahreflects the spirit of the pioneers of the 1920s.
