IBN TIBBON, SAMUEL BEN JUDAH (TIBBON)

French translator, scholar and physician. After travelling widely, he settled in Marseilles. He translatedMaimonides'Guide for the Perplexedfrom Arabic into Hebrew in collaboration with the author. He also translated other writings ofMaimonidesand wrote philosophical commen-taries on the Bible.
