IBN SHEMTOV, JOSEPH BEN SHEMTOV

(c.1400-c.1460)
Spanish philosopher. He served in the Castilian court of King John II and his successor Henry IV. In 1452 he was sent to Segovia to suppress an anti-Semitic movement. Later he wandered around the country giving lectures.
