GELBER, NATHAN MIKHAEL

(1891-1966)
Austrian historian and Zionist leader. He was born in Lemberg. He was general secretary of the eastern Galician delegation of the Vaad Leumi in Vienna (1918-21), and later became secretary of the Austrian Zionist Organization. In 1934 he emigrated to Palestine where he worked in the head office of Keren ha-Yesod in Jerusalem. He published books and articles on Jewish history and contemporary Jewish life.
