ABRAHAM (ABRAM)

Israelite patriarch. He left Ur and travelled to Canaan. God appeared to him and promised that his offspring would inherit the earth. The Lord made a covenant with Abraham and tested his faith by asking him to sacrifice his sonIsaac(Genesis 11:26—25:10).
