AARONSON, AARON

(1849-1939)

Palestinian leader. He studied agronomy in France and from 1895 worked as an expert forEdmond de Rothschild.

During World War I he organized an underground intelligence service (Nili) in Palestine. He promoted Zionist concerns at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.
