SIMPLE METAMORPHOPSIA

The term simple metamorphopsia comes from the Latin adjectivesimplex(simple) and the Greek wordsmetamorphoun(to change the form) andopsis(seeing). It is used to denote a type of * metamorphopsia (i.e. a visual distortion) that is not accompanied by any alterations in the affective tone of one's experience of the extracorporeal environment. The term simple metamorphopsia is used in opposition to *complicated metamor-phopsia.
