Dictionary of Hallucinations

RAVEL, JOSEPHMARIE

(1875-1937)
A Basque French composer and pianist of the impressionistic period who later in life suffered from apraxia and aphasia due to an unknown neurodegenerative disease. Ravel's reports of "hearing music in his head" have been interpreted by some authors as "musical hallucinations.
